Description
Gheranda Samhita, written by MJuni Gheranda, is one of the five representative Hathayoga Texts identified by the researchers of Kaivalyadhama. Gheranda calls it Ghata Yoga. However, there is no fundamental difference between Ghata Yoga and Hatha Yoga. Dividing this Ghata Yoga into seven limbs, Muni Gheranda has presented a total number of 102 practices for the attainment of highest goal i.e. Samadhi. The seven limbs of Ghata Yoga discussed in this text are sodhana kriya (21), asana(32), mudra(25), pratyahara(5), pranayama(10), dhyana(3) and samadhi(6).
