Arvind Sharma, Ph.D. (1978) in Sanskrit and Indian Studies, Harvard University, is Birks Professor of Comparative Religion in the Faculty of Religious Studies at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He has edited several volumes on the position of women in the world's religions. Indica Books has published an edition for sale only in South Asia (2007) of the book Goddesses and Women in the Indic Tradition, edited by Arvind Sharma.
