Agustín López Tobajas (Zaragoza, Spain, 1949) is a translator specialized in the Sciences of Religions and the spiritual traditions. He has been co-director of the magazine Axis Mundi and of the collection "Orientalia" (Ed. Paidós). In collaboration with María Tabuyo, he has translated authors such as L. Massignon, A. K. Coomaraswamy, G. Durand, F. Schuon, S. Weil, H. Zimmer, R. Guénon, D. T. Suzuki, S. Kramrisch, M. Idel, A. M. Schimmel, T. Burckhardt, etc., and, specially, Henry Corbin. He is the author of Manifiesto contra el progreso (Olañeta, Palma de Mallorca, 2005), whose English translation Manifesto Against Progress was published by Indica Books in 2008. He is the editor of S.Y. Sohravardî, El encuentro con el Ángel (Trotta, Madrid, 2002), La naturaleza y el Espíritu (Olañeta, Palma de Mallorca, 2006), and El conocimiento y la experiencia espiritual (Olañeta, Palma de Mallorca, 2007). He has also collaborated in several collective works, such as Dossier H: Fritjhof Schuon (L'Âge d'Homme, Lausane, 2001), or La traducción, factor de cambio (Peter Lang, Berne, 2008).
