Indica
Books is an Indian
book company specialized in Indology, formed in partnership
by Dilip Kumar Jaiswal (Indian) and Alvaro Enterria
(Spanish). Dilip K. Jaiswal is in the book business since 1976,
when he started working with Motilal Banarsidass, and opening
later in 1986 his own company D.K. Book Agencies. Alvaro Enterria
was working as a university librarian in Spain before coming
to India.
Indica Books opened its first bookshop to the public
on 3rd November 1994 (Diwali) at the centre of Varanasi (Banaras).
Later, in 2004 a second bookshop was opened at Assi Ghat, Varanasi.

Godowlia, Varanasi - 221 001, India (in front of Sushil Cinema)
has in its two large floors sections on the main aspects of
Indian culture: Scriptures, Philosophy, Mythology, History,
Yoga, Tantra, Hinduism, Buddhism and other religions, Music
and Art, Ayurveda, Astrology, Sanskrit, etc. A general section
deals with Literature Indian and foreign, Travel books, Languages,
and other topics of common interest. Books are mainly in English,
Hindi and Sanskrit.
Indica Books publishes and distributes good quality books
on Indology and on the city of Banaras. Please see these books

You can buy online the books that we publish, distribute, or
